Born Toriano Adaryll Jackson on October 15, 1953, Tito was one of nine children born to Joe and Katherine Jackson, growing up alongside notable figures like Michael and Janet Jackson. As part of the Jackson 5, Tito played the guitar and sang backup on tracks that have since become classics, including “I Want You Back,” “ABC,” and “The Love You Save.” His contributions helped lead the group to their induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1997.
Beyond the group’s success, Tito ventured into a solo career which saw the release of his debut album, “Tito Time,” in 2016. He remained musically active, releasing “One Way Street” in 2017.
Tito’s sons remember him as a remarkable man who deeply cared about the well-being of others. They shared their profound sorrow and heartbreak, acknowledging that his absence would be strongly felt.
He leaves behind his brothers Jermaine, Randy, Marlon, and Jackie; his sisters Janet, Rebbie, and La Toya; and his mother, Katherine. Their father, Joe Jackson, died in 2018.
