Artist and actress Teyana Taylor is poised to receive a significant sum in child support payments—nearly double what her former partner, NBA player Iman Shumpert, has been ordered to provide.

Recent judicial decisions have set Shumpert’s child support obligations at $3,992 per month for their two children. Taylor, on the other hand, is set to receive approximately $7,000 per month, totaling a notable increase in support payments.

The duo, who ended their marriage in 2020, has since been navigating a complex legal dispute concerning child support and custody matters.

Taylor, well-regarded for her contributions to both music and film, has openly emphasized the necessity of financial security for her children. In her latest interview, she expressed her satisfaction with the judicial outcome, saying, “It’s essential that my children are well provided for and have access to all necessities. I appreciate the court’s decision in ensuring a just arrangement for child support.”

Shumpert, who as of now is affiliated with the Brooklyn Nets, commented on the matter as well, highlighting his dedication to his children’s welfare. “My children are my utmost priority. I am devoted to fulfilling my parental responsibilities and ensuring they are well cared for,” he stated.

Despite the ongoing court disputes, both Taylor and Shumpert have declared their intention to amicably co-parent their children and uphold a constructive relationship for the benefit of their family.

Details on how child support payments will be structured, or if further agreements regarding custody or visitation rights are to be made, remain unspecified. Nevertheless, it is evident that both parents are committed to the welfare and upbringing of their children.
