Colombian songstress Shakira recently shared that she is not ready to explore romantic relationships after her breakup with former partner Gerard Piqué, the Spanish football star.

During an interview, the famous “Hips Don’t Lie” artist emphasized her priorities are currently centered on her children and advancing her career, showing little interest in romance at this juncture.

Shakira and Piqué, who went public with their separation in June 2024, were together for over a decade and are parents to two sons, Milan and Sasha.

In the time following their separation, Shakira has maintained a discreet presence, keeping away from the public eye and potential romantic involvement. Her efforts have been devoted to her musical career and spending nurturing moments with her sons.

In discussions about her personal life post-split, Shakabinra states, “Right now, I’m not focused on dating. My kids and my career are capturing all my attention, and that feels sufficient.”

She also touched on the complexities of managing co-parenting responsibilities with Piqué, acknowledging the challenges but highlighting their joint effort to prioritize their children’s well-being.

“It’s challenging at times,” Shakira admitted, “but we’re focused on doing what’s best for our children. They come first, and we are both dedicated to supporting them.”

Looking ahead despite a difficult year, Shakira is positive about her future, particularly in her music career.

“I feel content with where I am and am looking forward to the future,” she elaborated. “The support and love from my fans have been incredible, and I’m eager to return that love with new music.”
