Sean “Diddy” Combs is embroiled in a serious legal battle due to accusations from a woman named Thalia Graves, who asserts that he raped her and documented the assault on video. The alleged attack, according to Graves, took place at the Bad Boy Records studio in New York City in 2001, with Combs’ chief of security, Joseph Sherman, also implicated in the act.

Graves, who was 25 and involved with one of Combs’ associates at the time, contends that she was enticed into a solitary meeting with Combs and Sherman. She alleges they isolated her and provided her with a beverage which she suspects contained a drug, causing her briefly to lose consciousness.

She describes awakening to find herself tied up and being violently sexually assaulted by both Combs and Sherman. Graves accuses them of subjecting her to both anal and vaginal rape, inflicting intense physical and psychological damage.

Fearful of retribution and threats allegedly made by Combs and Sherman to destroy her life should she speak out, Graves did not report the incident initially. Over the years, she has struggled with thoughts of suicide and has sought substantial psychological therapy to cope with the trauma she endured.

The situation escalated for Graves in November 2023 when she discovered that the assault had been filmed, and that Combs and Sherman had allegedly shown this recording to several individuals, further degrading and humiliating her. This revelation exacerbated her existing conditions of depression, anxiety, and panic attacks.

Seeking justice and reparation, Graves, supported by her attorney Gloria Allred, has initiated a lawsuit against Combs, Sherman, and Bad Boy Records for damages. At a press conference conducted on Tuesday, September 24, both Graves and Allred addressed the details of the case and the broader implications.

Meanwhile, Combs faces additional legal troubles as he has been arrested and denied bail on multiple occasions, remaining incarcerated as he awaits his trial. This lawsuit adds to a growing list of allegations against Combs, which includes charges from a federal indictment related to sex trafficking, racketeering, and transporting a prostitute.
