In a recent dialogue with *The Guardian*, Australian star Rebel Wilson disclosed that her parents have not yet met her fiancée, Ramona Agruma, due to conflicting views on LGBTQ+ issues.

Wilson, who opened up about her orientation in 2022, has been engaged to Agruma since June this year. Despite her parents’ conservative Christian beliefs clashing with her lifestyle, they have yet to meet her partner. Wilson expressed, “I’m still waiting for my parents to meet her. I would like them to, but I’m skeptical about their acceptance,” during her interview with *The Guardian*. She added, “It’s something I’ve never spoken about publicly before, but it’s a fact that my parents don’t support the LGBTQ+ community.”

The actress further elaborated on how her parents have supported her ambitions and life decisions but have found it difficult to embrace her sexual identity. “They support me in many ways but have never really grasped this aspect of my life. It seems there’s a generational gap and it’s challenging for them to understand,” she remarked.

Despite these familial hurdles, Wilson is optimistic that her parents will someday come to accept her and Agruma’s relationship.

Wilson holds onto hope, saying, “I’m hopeful that eventually, they’ll look beyond their beliefs and accept me fully for who I am. Until then, my focus is on living happily and loving whom I choose.”

Wilson and Agruma first announced their relationship publicly in June, capturing hearts with an Instagram post where Wilson playfully noted, “I thought I was searching for a Disney Prince… but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess #loveislove.”

The couple has since been quite open about their love, regularly posting heartfelt updates and pictures online.

While her parents’ acceptance is pending, the support Wilson has received from her fans and the LGBTQ+ community has been immense.

Expressing her gratitude, Wilson shared, “The support I’ve received since coming out has been incredibly touching. It’s allowed me to truly be myself, which feels incredibly freeing.”

Looking forward, Wilson is enthusiastic about her life with Agruma. “Being authentic and in love is a beautiful place to be. I’m eager to see what the future holds for us,” she concluded.
