A man has surrendered to the authorities in Philadelphia after he was accused of a disturbing act at a local Dollar Tree store, where he allegedly ejaculated on a woman’s leg.
The unsettling event took place on July 9th. While shopping in the store situated on the 5300 block of Frankford Avenue, a 34-year-old woman experienced an alarming violation when a man, described as being in his 20s, approached her from behind and committed the act.
Following the incident, the woman alerted the store employees who immediately informed the police. The perpetrator left the scene but subsequently handed himself over to the police.
Charges of indecent assault among other related offenses have been filed against him, and he is currently detained with bail set at $25,000.
The affected woman was transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention and psychological support, as the incident left her deeply disturbed yet physically unscathed.
This incident marks the second similar occurrence at a Philadelphia Dollar Tree store within a few months. Previously, in May, another man was detained for allegedly performing an indecent act in front of a woman at another location of the same chain.
So far, the corporate representatives of Dollar Tree have not made any official statements concerning this latest incident. Nonetheless, they have historically emphasized their commitment to maintaining customer safety and enforcing a strict policy against any improper conduct within their stores.
The local community has expressed profound shock and anger over the event, advocating for severe consequences for such violations.
One upset resident remarked, “This is disgusting and unacceptable. The person responsible needs to face serious charges and a lengthy imprisonment.”
Another added, “It’s shocking to hear about such an incident at a Dollar Cara. I used to consider it a safe place for shopping. Now, I’ll have to be extra cautious.”
Police are encouraging anyone with further information about the incident to step forward and assist with the ongoing investigation.
