Renowned rock musician Jack White is expressing his displeasure with the Trump campaign by threatening legal action. The iconic musician, best known as the lead of The White Stripes, is taking this step following the unauthorized use of their hit “Seven Nation Army” at a Trump rally.
Information from individuals close to the matter suggests that White’s legal team has issued a cease and desist notice to the Trump campaign for copyright infringement after the song was played at a rally in Iowa earlier this month.
It is claimed that the Trump campaign did not secure the appropriate rights to use the track, continuing to use it despite previous requests to cease.
White is not the first artist to challenge the use of his music in Trump’s political gatherings. Other notable musicians, like Adele, Elton John, and the Rolling Stones, have also criticized the campaign for similar reasons.
White’s representatives are firm in their stance, suggesting that if the use of the song persists, they will not hesitate to pursue legal avenues. “The White Stripes firmly denounce the Trump campaign’s use of their music,” stated one of White’s representatives. “We are committed to halting this unauthorized usage and maintaining the music’s integrity.”
As of now, there has been no comment from the Trump campaign regarding this issue. However, Jack White remains resolute in his fight to ensure his music is not used without permission. Further updates are expected as the situation develops.
