Erik Von Detten, celebrated for his starring role in the Disney favorite “Brink!”, is delighted by the Kelce brothers’ passion for the film.
NFL celebrities Travis and Jason Kelce became the center of attention on social media after they shared their fondness for “Brink!” in a recent interview.
Von Detten, who portrayed protagonist Andy “Brink” Brinker in the 1998 release, is excited by the film’s return to the limelight.
In a special interview, Von Detten conveyed his joy and appreciation for the backing from the Kelce brothers.
“It’s amazing to witness the enduring appeal of ‘Brink!’, particularly in how families express their affection for the film,” Von Detten commented.
He also revealed that several other prominent individuals, including filmmaker Kevin Smith and actor Seth Rogen, have reached out as fans of the film.
“It feels quite surreal that a film I participated in at 15 continues to influence so many,” Von Detten noted.
About the Kelce siblings, Von Detten had only praises to share.
“As someone who loves football, it’s fantastic to see such talented athletes expressing their appreciation for ‘Brink!’,” he remarked.
Moreover, Von Detten is open to reviving “Brink!” through a reboot or sequel, provided they faithfully reflect the original’s spirit and message.
“There’s a way to make it exciting and engaging, but it needs to be approached correctly,” he suggested.
Currently focusing on his voice acting and various other projects, Von Detten remains thankful for the enduring recognition and affection for “Brink!”
