Former President Donald Trump recently expressed his admiration for the boxing efforts of Logan and Jake Paul, both of whom have transitioned from YouTube fame to boxing prominence.
During a recent media conversation, Trump lauded the Paul siblings for their capacity to attract audiences and inject excitement into boxing. He remarked, “They’re doing a terrific job,” noting their significance in drawing new spectators to the sport.
Logan Paul stepped into the professional boxing scene in 2019, squaring off against fellow content creator KSI in a widely watched fight. His younger brother, Jake Paul, soon made his mark by securing a knockout win against YouTuber AnEsonGib in 2020.
Though they come from a non-traditional background in sports, the Paul brothers have shown they can hold their own in the ring. Logan managed a commendable performance against KSI in their initial match, while Jake has consistently delivered knockouts in his professional fights.
Trump, whose interest in boxing has been evidenced by past events hosted at his properties, praised the brothers’ prowess. “They’re real fighters,” he commented. “They’re young, they’re hungry, and they’re talented. I think they have a bright future ahead of them.”
While some boxing enthusiasts remain skeptical of the Paul brothers due to their celebrity origins and argue their success is primarily social media-driven, Trump disagrees. He believes they’re beneficial for the sport, emphasizing, “They’re bringing in new fans, they’re selling tickets, and they’re putting on exciting fights. That’s what it’s all about.”
When questioned about potentially facing off against either of the Paul brothers in the ring, Trump playfully hinted, “Let’s just say I’m keeping my options open,” sharing the comment with a grin.
