Country music star Billy Ray Cyrus has responded to accusations of physical abuse asserted by his soon-to-be ex-wife, Firerose. Through a spokesperson, Cyrus conveyed to another media outlet that he “strongly refutes any claims of abuse lodged against him.”
This came in response to allegations put forward by Firerose who, after filing for divorce from Cyrus in April, revealed in legal filings that she had been physically mistreated by him over the course of their marriage. Firerose is currently seeking primary physical custody of their two youngest children and is also asking for spousal support. The proceedings are ongoing as no court date has been scheduled yet.
