Rapper 50 Cent has publicly declared his separation from his former producer, Darrell “Digga” Branch, due to Branch’s engagement with Donald Trump’s presidential campaign efforts.

In a recent discussion, Branch disclosed his role collaborating with the Trump campaign to engage the hip-hop audience. Curtis Jackson, known professionally as 50 Cent, was quick to clarify his position regarding his former associate when prompted during an interview.

“I don’t have anything to do with that,” Jackson stated emphatically. “It’s been years since I worked with Digga, and we’re not connected in any way now.”

Branch, responsible for producing various tracks on Jackson’s early albums, has openly supported Trump and has publicly defended the former president’s divisive statements on race and immigration.

Despite their past musical partnership, Jackson has openly expressed his opposition to Branch’s political stance. Historically, Jackson has criticized Trump and shown his support for Democratic candidates in various elections.

“I’m not with that,” Jackson continued. “I cannot support what Trump stands for. It just doesn’t sit right with me.”

The reveal of Branch’s connection with the Trump campaign has caused quite a stir among hip-hop circles, prompting numerous artists and industry insiders to voice their displeasure and distance themselves from Branch.

Jackson’s recent declarations only further emphasize the widespread disapproval of Branch’s recent political activities among his peers.

It is evident that despite his previous collaborations with Branch, Jackson intends to maintain a clear boundary between himself and any associations related to the Trump campaign or its endorsers.
